Write for us
Side Hustles NZ invites exceptional guest authors to contribute engaging content. Some of the most impactful articles on our platform have been contributed by individuals like you.
However, there are specific guidelines that guest posts must follow:
Rule #1: Target a specific keyword with actual search demand. The objective is to ensure that your work consistently attracts traffic over time through Google discovery. Your primary keyword should have a minimum of 1000 monthly searches and should be relevant to the overarching theme of side hustles. Tools like ahrefs or Google’s Keyword Planner can be used for estimation.
Rule #2: Create the ultimate resource on the chosen topic. Google aims to showcase the best content at the top of search results. Your content should be deserving of the title “best.” Otherwise, it stands little chance of breaking into the top 10, which is not beneficial for either party.
What does this entail?
It involves covering a topic in comprehensive detail to thoroughly address the reader’s query. Typically, this means producing content that is at least 2000 words long. Successful examples include:
- Earn $500+ This Weekend: An Intro to Car Flipping
- Mechanical Turk Review: How I Made $21,000 a Quarter at a Time
- How to Get Paid Over and Over Again — From Work You Do Once
Rule #3: Format the content for easy readability. Although formatting blog posts can be tedious, it is crucial.
Your post should feature:
- Text divided with H2 subheads, including your main keyword and related LSI keywords.
- Links to pertinent internal and external resources.
- Relevant images or screenshots, ideally 700 pixels wide. Smaller sizes are acceptable, but larger ones are not. Images must be royalty-free (indicate the source).
- Your author bio with preferred link(s).
- Don’t worry about creating social media graphics in the style of Side Hustles NZ.
